Shaun has worked in a highly specialised environment serving the aftermarket needs of the heavy vehicle industry by representing a number of industry leading parts aftermarket companies.
Shaun began his heavy vehicle working life undertaking a sales cadetship with Mercedes Benz here in Melbourne. This high profile, highly respected training gave Shaun the skills necessary to excel in the competitive area of heavy vehicle support.
Shaun has given over 30 years of his working life to supporting the replacement parts industry specifically geared to the heavy vehicle industry. For the last 20 years he has specialised in supporting two critical areas of vehicle support namely industrial/commercial windscreen wiper systems and LED lighting. In support of the heavy vehicle marketplace’s limited knowledge of wiper systems, AGMAT, together with our associate company Wipers Australia, are now leading suppliers and offer critical support in this largely forgotten area of heavy vehicle maintenance.

Since the company’s inception Shuo has mostly worked in the background at AGMAT but in recent years has undertaken a more active role in the growth and development of the company. Being bi-lingual (Shuo is fluent in both English and Mandarin) she has offered significant support in the negotiation and procurement of components and vehicle support systems from numerous suppliers in China.
Being able to negotiate with our major suppliers in their own language is an enormous advantage to AGMAT in that complex technical details are able to be exchanged in the knowledge that misunderstandings and confusing technical errors are kept to a minimum.
Shuo’s day to day role is that of accounts clerk undertaking the critical job of managing the input of data regarding accounts payable and accounts receivable. Her specialist support and thorough approach to her role offers significant benefit in the management of the company’s finances.
John has worked in a number of high profile, international organisations at senior sales management and departmental management levels. He has also spent time in the Victorian Government.
With over 40 years’ experience with names such as Lucas Industries Australia Ltd, AGCO Australia Ltd (formerly Massey Ferguson Iseki Australia Ltd) and Silvan Australia Pty Ltd, John managed highly motivated sales teams in the Asia Pacific region.
John has extensive product management experience with particular expertise in sourcing specialist product from China and Taiwan suitable for the automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket in Australia.
John’s work in State Government commenced when he was asked to join the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation as a Business Development Manager. This exposure to government systems and processes helped round out a breadth of knowledge and experience when dealing with some of the largest and most strategically placed companies in the state.
Bernadette has worked with AGMAT since the company's inception where has kept a firm hand on the tiller through the demanding start-up period. Whilst Bernadette's experience has principally been with large, multi-national corporate companies she has been able to help steer the company through the challenging times typically faced by SME's in their formative years.
Bernadette's clear vision, significant experience and guidance has helped build a strong framework helping set-up the company as it now moves into the next phase of its expansion plans.
Bernadette's day to day role is that of administration where she has an 'all seeing' approach to the company's business management. This unique approach has enabled the company to grow and strengthen and be well prepared for the rigours of everyday business life.
